New Directions for the User Group, Matthew Reagan, Centocor, Inc., 9:00 AM
In order to make our User Group the best it can be, I have created three volunteer committees:  Membership, Meetings, and Communications.  I would like to discuss these committees with you and get your feedback.

Intermedia for Oracle8i:  Images, Audio and Video in your database, Joe Kokinda, Talent Point, 9:30 AM
Get started storing, managing and building applications using multimedia objects stored in your Oracle8i database.  This session will cover what Intermedia is, what add-on componenets are available and how and where to get started using this functionality.

The Key to Baan: Oracle Discoverer and the Data Warehouse, Jeffrey L. Coltrian, Alydan Consulting, Inc., 10:45 AM
ERP systems, such as SAP and Baan, provide many benefits, but easy data access, analysis and ad hoc reporting are not always among them.  This presentation is a case study of one company's report server/data warehouse solution in support of a Baan ERP system.

Oracle8i PL/SQL Enhancements, Dan White, Innovative Consulting, 1:00 PM
Dan will review the enhancements made to PL/SQL in Oracle8i.

A Walking Tour of RMAN, Matthew Reagan Centocor, Inc., 2:15 PM
The use of Oracle8 at my company is continuing to expand across platforms and databases are continuing to increase in number.  The "old way" of backing up my databases using platform-specific scripts is becoming tedious to port and maintain.  I've been looking into RMAN and have made some interesting discoveries which I would like to share.  This will be an interactive presentation, so bring your questions, opinions, and experiences.

Ask Oracle Tools/DBA Expert Panel, moderated by Matt Reagan, Centocor, Inc., 3:30 PM
Bring your questions, concerns, thoughts and stories.  This is your opportunity to ask the questions you don't dare ask at the office, and come away with answers, directions, and approaches you can take to the database administration issues that you need to handle.  Novices and experts are all welcome.
